Advertising terms
Last updated 12 October 2026
What you're buying
- A labelled sponsor card on the pages your package covers: one mark, the marks within an area, the whole UK, or a species.
- A mark has one sponsor. Up to 3 sponsors share an area's marks and up to 5 share the whole UK; sharing sponsors take turns, so views are split roughly evenly.
- A mark sponsor shows ahead of an area sponsor, an area ahead of a species, and a species ahead of the whole UK. We don't promise a number of views or clicks.
Sponsors never change the results
- Scores, fish ratings, tide times, rankings and which marks we show are never affected by sponsorship.
- Every card is marked "Sponsored". Sponsoring a mark doesn't mean we endorse you or that you own, run or vouch for the mark.
Your ad
- You're responsible for what your card says and where it links, and for it being legal, honest and accurate, in line with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising (CAP Code).
- We don't accept: gambling; anything illegal, such as gear for poaching or taking undersized fish; alcohol aimed at under-18s; adult content; or anything misleading or offensive.
- We check each card before it shows. We can refuse a card, or take one down later if it breaks these terms. If we refuse it before it runs, we cancel and refund you. If we take it down for breaking these terms, the current month isn't refunded.
Paying and cancelling
- Packages are monthly subscriptions, paid through Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. We aren't VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- Cancel any time from your sponsor page. Your card keeps showing until the end of the month you've paid for.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal.
The small print
- We aim to keep the site running but can't promise it'll never be down. If it's down for more than 3 days in a row, ask and we'll extend your placement to make up for it.
- We may update these terms; we'll email sponsors about any change that affects them.
- These terms are under the law of England and Wales.
