Sat 17 Oct from 21:30 to 00:30 is the best window at Lang Ayre, with peak October season, dark conditions, a light north-westerly and the tide three hours into the flood on neaps. Sun 18 Oct from 22:30 to 01:30 is a close second, with a calmer sea (1.4 m waves against 2.4 m) and the same tide and light, so it may suit if Saturday looks too rough.
