Best bet is Thursday 15 October from 17:30 to 20:30, when the flood has been running for three hours at dusk, the wind is light south-westerly at 9 mph and the sea is slight. For a second option, Thursday 05:30 to 08:30 covers the flood at first light with a light south-south-westerly and slight sea, though the Wednesday night session is a stronger tide but with a moderate 0.9 m sea.
